John R. Neustadt graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. His college background included substantial study in the fields of life and physical sciences, as well as work in a Berkeley hospital. Mr. Neustadt obtained his Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Santa Clara School of Law in June, 1976, and went on to successfully pass the next California State Bar Exam that fall. Thereafter he worked as a business, real estate, and personal injury litigation specialist in Beverly Hills and Century City before relocating to Warner Center in 1990. The current practice is in Westlake Village. Mr. Neustadt has spent more than 30 years handling significant personal injury claims on behalf of consumers. He has served as an agreed arbitrator and mediator of personal injury matters throughout Southern California, and is a member of the State Bar of California and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, which is the largest organization promoting the interests of consumers in the United States. Mr. Neustadt has successfully settled more than 90% of his cases, having tried or arbitrated hundreds of cases, recovering many millions of dollars in the aggregate for his clients. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Neustadt holds a California Department of Real Estate broker’s license.
John is married with two college-age children, plays golf, and is an avid instrument-rated pilot and member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He offers his time and airplane to Angel Flight, a pilot organization that provides free air transportation to rural patients who are unable to find transportation to major medical centers and hospitals.
Armando J. Berriz graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. In 1994 he graduated from Pepperdine Law School with a Juris Doctorate. On his first attempt he passed the California Bar Examination and has been admitted to practice law throughout California and Federal Court in the United States District Court, Central District of California since 1994. In 2003, Armando continued his legal education by completing the coveted Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School’s Staus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He has since served for and received appreciation from the Los Angeles Superior Court and Ventura Superior Court for serving as a neutral for alternative dispute resolution and Mandatory Settlement Conference Officer. Since partnering with John Neustadt and forming Neustadt & Berriz, Mr. Berriz has successfully represented hundreds of clients, recovering millions of dollars in the aggregate for them in a wide variety of personal injury cases. A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Berriz is a member of the most respected association of trial attorneys, The American Board of Trial Advocates, California Coast Chapter. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. In addition, Mr. Berriz is also a licensed real estate broker and a notary public.
Armando and his wife, Catherine, have three fantastic children. two girls and a boy. Mr. Berriz has surfed all over the world, paddles in international competitions, stand-up paddles, dives, and is a boating enthusiast. Additionally, born and raised in a Cuban household, Mr. Berriz speaks Spanish fluently, bringing an added value to the Hispanic Community.
